We love the Spanish language and culture – and we’re passionate about sharing both with you.
Based in Galway, we started as teachers at the school, and in 2015, we took the exciting step of taking it over.
Since then, we’ve built a fantastic team of experienced native teachers and support staff, all passionate about helping students learn Spanish in a fun, interactive way.
In 2020, when the pandemic hit, we embraced online teaching – and we’ve continued to offer both online and onsite classes ever since.
We’re full of exciting plans to continue growing The Spanish Institute.

Meet the teachers
Of course, when it comes to creating the best learning environment, nothing matters more than the teacher. We’re proud to have a team of talented, native Spanish teachers who are passionate about making their classes effective, engaging and fun.
They bring energy, experience, and love for teaching – helping students feel confident and motivated from day one.
Laura
Laura is from Madrid and has lived in several countries.
She began teaching face-to-face Spanish classes in Galway in 2005, and now she mainly teaches online.
Laura is also a certified life coach, and she truly enjoys teaching Spanish through conversation and connection.
Rocío
Rocío is from Salamanca, which is known worldwide as the city of Spanish when referring to the teaching of the language.
After eleven years teaching in Galway, her classes are very dynamic and enjoyable because she loves her job.
